Opportunities

We have prepared several options for the fall Bible studies. We will have two categories for studies: Classes and Life Groups. More information on Life Groups will soon be made available.

Bible Discovery Class
This fall we will study and discuss the Book of Matthew.  This is the first hand account of Jesus as Messiah, teacher and Son of God, by his disciple.  N.T Wright will guide you in the study as you learn more about Jesus and grow in your faith.
Matthew Study Guide
Begins September 13   9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Leaders: Elders Mel Chase, Dennis McFarland

History of the Church
The class resumes with martyrdom and the early church. Following the execution of Jesus, his followers were demoralized, fearful and disillusioned.  Within a short period, however, convinced that they had seen the risen Christ, they were willing to die for their faith, and many did.
September 13 – November 29  9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Leader: Dr. Jeff Jordan

Pray Together
"That our only business was to love and delight ourselves in God."(Brother Lawrence)
Join with others to take a prayer journey.  We will go through 8 weeks learning about prayer, how to pray and how prayer advances the kingdom of God.  Together we will listen to and pray for each other and what is on our hearts as disciples.
Love to Pray Study Guide
September 13 – November 1 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Facilitator: Elder Pam Bailey

The Book of Revelation
"Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it; for the time is near." (Rev. 1:3 NRSV)
Revelation is a Book of the Bible that many find hard to understand and difficult to apply to their daily lives. It is, thus, often left unread or only selectively read. Yet within its pages is a message of hope that is not to be missed.
September 13 – November 29  9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Co-Leaders: Elder John Bard and the Reverend Dr. John Paderson
Note: all classes are continually open to new joiners. Everyone is welcome. Study guides are available either in the church office.
