The church at Corinth was a hot mess.  They were a divided church and had loads of questions and concerns that the apostle Paul needed to address including some much needed clarification regarding the resurrection and all that it meant for the believers in Corinth regarding how to live into and live out their faith every day.  In many ways, the Corinthian believers are very similar to us which is why this is such a good word for us today.
