Your heart matters.  Yes it's important to take care of our physical hearts but, the condition of your heart matters greatly to the Lord in relationship with Him.  In this little parable that Jesus tells we learn this truth., but we also learn that God something absolutely amazing that God wants to give us, something that we can only receive.
