WORSHIP
CHOIR
With older youth and adult members, the Worship Choir offers
anthems at the Traditional Service approximately twice monthly.
Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Music of many genres and
musical periods are sung.
SONBEAM SINGERS
This choir for children (ages 4-Grade 2) meets on the second and third
Sundays of each month (Oct. to May) during Children’s Church
(Contemporary service) to explore worship and music concepts. They offer
monthly anthems at both services.
3-4-5 ALIVE SINGERS AND RINGERS
Students in grades 3-5 meet on Sunday evenings during 3-4-5
Alive activities. They are challenged to learn more extensive
music, worship components and have the opportunity to learn beginning
chimes.
PRAISE TEAM
These musicians lead the Contemporary service in praise and
worship music, including the use of varied instruments. Those interested
in joining this ministry develop worship leadership skills and
musicianship to join together in groups to lead worship.
DRAMA MINISTRY
This new ministry grew from a desire to worship god through
drama and movement. Members meet to learn how to lead worship and
develop dramatic offerings. Many skits are written or choreographed by
members of this ministry.
SPECIAL SOLOISTS, ENSEMBLES
AND INSTRUMENTALISTS
All musicians are encouraged to use their talents to glorify God in our
worship services. We have enjoyed worshipping to the sounds of brass,
woodwinds, harp, trumpets, strings and singers in solo or groups.
Especially during the summer months of Choir hiatus, special music
enhances our worship services.
HANDBELL CHOIR
The Handbell Choir is an ensemble of musicians who work together to
present handbell offerings at various time throughout the church year.
Musicians of all abilities and beginners are encouraged to join this
ministry.
CONTACT Bev McFarland, Director of Music (bevmcfarland@wccpc.org) to offer
your talents or discuss any of the music activities.
